Kidney stones can happen due to other conditions like consumption of high oxalate foods, insufficient water intake, high calcium etc.
Chances of you getting kidney stones-
Chia seeds are high oxalate foods but if it is taken with other other high oxalate foods like spinach, chocolate etc. With less hydration then kidney stones can be formed
If 3 or more tablespoon chia seeds are consumed on a daily basis for a longer period of time then kidney stones can be formed.
