My mother is getting weekly chemotherapy plus everyday radiation.. I asked the doctor about the diet and he said eat everything after washing even fruits.. Is this true? Can I give my mother raw fruits like apples, pomegranate, orange and kiwi? Also can she eat overnight soaked almonds and walnuts and dates and raisins?
Please reply this question, It would really help us a lot 🙏

Hi,
Yes she may take soaked nuts in moderation. She can take balanced meals comprising all nutrients. Avoid mostly raw foods. Fruits should be soft, pulpy & juicy. You can also give the fruits in mashed forms as well. Thanks
Hello
All fruits are fine after washing thoroughly. Focus more on high calorie nutrient dense foods like homemade nut and seeds laddoos, ragi porridge, dates with milk, paneer sabji with rotis, homemade gur and til chikki to avoid weight loss.
Hi, yes there is no restriction as such, as chemo sessions are very heavy duty the patient should eat very well and stay as nourished as possible. Dont worry it shall be fine soon, lots of love and kind regards to both of you.
Always give her any fruits after washing it properly
Focus on carb and protein so she don't get too much weightloss during chemo
Ans do check her sugar and bp always that get affected that time more
