Cervical cerclage
Hi, I am 25 weeks pregnant and two days ago i had ultrasound where cervical length was 3.4 cm and everything was fine and today i had light brown discharge. So doctor advised me to have stitches. I just want to know this surgery will not have any impact on baby right as it requires anesthesia etc ? And I am worried so what precautions should i take to avoid any preterm labour or delivery after surgery. i was already taking progesterone injections weekly

It will not harm the baby.. Where is the placenta located? If placenta is low also you can have spotting. 3.4cm cervical length is normal
