Cect abdomen and ct pulmonary angiograph
Can cect abdomen and ct pulmonary angiography done at same time or not .does gap is given for  after each test.my dad  had done  cect abdomen and ct pulmonary angiography done.first they done ct pulmonary angiography after 1 half hour they done cect abdomen with contrast .is gap necessary .because they expose too much radiation of upper abdomen of same test done 2 times.

Hello, Hope you are in good health now. Your concern about radiation exposure is valid, but as per available data not much can be predicted about it's ill effects. Sometimes a fracture pt goes through multiple radiographs in a single day. Radiation exposure effects also depends on a variety of other factors too. Here, the more concerning thing is The Contrast. A substance drunk(in CECT) or Injected (in CTA) into the patient. It can be dangerous if your kidney are injured, they'll fail to excrete it.
