Dear practo user One reason for cavities at this age could be old history feeding. Fluoride toothpaste will be useful for present and coming teeth.

Cavity usually occurs due to improper cleaning. For a 3 year old kid even though she might brush twice daily may not be as effective sometimes. It's better to avoid sticky foods and rinse after every meal properly. Treatment for this is tooth filling.
Next Steps
visit your nearby dentist and get it clinically checked. It will give a proper diagnosis and the depth of cavity.

Cavity even after brushing twice may occur because of insufficient cleaning or frequent snacking... brush before going to bed n after having breakfast... And rinsing after every meal or snack including chocolates n chips is must... Cure may include professional cavity restoration or other extensive procedures depending on condition..
Next Steps
for cavity get them clinically checked n go as advised
