My mum has breast cancer about 11/12 years ago when she was 45. My Granda now has breast cancer too at the age of 83. I know that my mother was checked for BRCA 1 and 2 but as this was ten years ago I don't know if she was checked for any of the other genes that can be associated with breast cancer. Is this something I should be concerned about?
My sister also has issues with ovarian cysts (as I think my mum did). I just mention because it might be relevant hormonally . Thanks for any advice!
