Can schizophrenia curable
My cousin is suffering from schizophrenia for the last 5 years.But no medicine helped her to recover from it.We are trying to switch from english medicine to homeopathy. can it be completely cured in homeopathy.or it will be temparory only.please let me know.

It really depends on the symptoms, diagnosis and severity. Difficult to respond on messages. But as far as prognosis goes schizophrenia is a psychotic illness where complete cure is difficult but symptom management and improving the functional aspects of the patient is the goal. As the patient improves he or she will seem to be free of symptoms but discontinuation of medication can lead to relapse. Long years of medication is usually required for someone suffering from schizophrenia. Also medicines should not be discontinued without medical supervision. You should go for counselling for the patient and her immediate family in adjunct with medication.
