Can Kojivit Plus result in darker skin

Asked for Male, 22 Years

My dermatologist prescribed me Kojivit Plus cream (contains kojic acid) for dark spots treatment. I have been using it for two months and now I have noticed that the dark spots are getting even darker. Is it possible that the cream is causing it ?
