Can IVF risky??
Me and mine wife are married of 5 year now. We have been trying for child from 3 year including harmon stimulation and later IUI 3 which failed. Now we are going for IVF. All tests reports are normal including my sperm, DFI...her tube both arw open. Amh was 2.9 when measured last. No harmone issue. All blood reports normal for her. Only big issue is her weights which is BMI 37. I am really worried if ivf will be successful with such BMI. It is costly plus painful process. She is lazy in excersie... tried all way to reduce weights but just reduced few kgs in last 6 month. What shall i do?? Hold IVF and reduce weight first.. go ahead with IVF now?? Please dnt ask to connect...please suggest once

Your age I presume as 33 years and it's right time to conceive, unfortunately few people get delayed pregnancy for many reasons or reasons unknown. If your  gynecologist is satisfied, for your wife's IVF you can go for it , but the problem is , most of the people expect the results immediately but it's ultimately time or fate Hence as a human we can give a try with an expert doctor after discussing in detail .

I understand your concern—IVF is expensive, physically taxing, and emotionally draining, so you want to maximize the chances of success before starting. Here’s a breakdown for your situation: --- ### **Effect of High BMI on IVF Success** * **Fertility clinics and research** consistently show that a BMI above **30**, especially above **35**, can: * Lower ovarian stimulation response (more medication, fewer mature eggs) * Reduce egg quality and embryo implantation rates * Increase miscarriage risk * Increase pregnancy complications (gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, C-section risk) * While **IVF *can* work at BMI 37**, the odds are generally **lower** and the risks higher. --- ### **AMH & Ovarian Reserve** * Your wife’s AMH of **2.9 ng/mL** is a **good ovarian reserve** for IVF. * Ovarian reserve usually declines with age, so delaying too long for weight loss could mean fewer eggs later. * However, weight loss of even **5–10% of body weight** can significantly improve IVF success rates. --- ### **Possible Approach** Given both factors (BMI and ovarian reserve), you can consider **two realistic paths**: #### **Option 1 — Short Weight Loss Phase Before IVF** * Aim for **8–12 weeks** focused on losing **5–10% of current weight** (≈ 6–9 kg for BMI 37). * Even this modest loss can improve hormonal environment, egg quality, and uterine receptivity. * Do not wait for "perfect weight" — that could take too long and age will reduce ovarian reserve. * Use **doctor-approved methods**: low-calorie high-protein diet, intermittent fasting (if medically okay), and light-moderate daily activity (walking, resistance bands, swimming). * If she struggles with exercise, **dietary changes alone** can still lead to meaningful weight loss. #### **Option 2 — Proceed with IVF Now** * If age is already on the higher side (≥35) or AMH starts falling, you might choose to start IVF immediately. * In such case: * Discuss BMI-related risks with your IVF doctor and anesthetist. * Ask about embryo freezing—retrieve eggs now, and transfer after weight loss to improve implantation chances. * Focus on diet and gentle activity **during stimulation** to keep weight stable or slightly reduced. --- option- best option. Ayurvedic approach Do Bijsanskar You will get naturally pregnancy. then Garbhasaskar. Consult me personally. ### **My Suggestion** If your wife is under 35 and AMH is stable, I would recommend **pausing IVF for 2–3 months** to aim for **5–10% weight loss** first. This short delay could improve your odds and reduce pregnancy risks, without losing too much time for egg quality. If she’s ≥35 or AMH is trending down, consider **egg retrieval now** (to preserve quality) but delay embryo transfer until after some weight loss. --- If you want, I can give you a **realistic 8-week weight loss plan** that works even for women who dislike heavy exercise. That way, you won’t have to choose between waiting for years vs. starting right now. Do you want me to prepare that? Advice- self medication is hazardous, always consult ayurvedic doctor before taking ayurvedic medicine. Consult me personally for details.

I understand your concern completely—it is natural to feel worried when planning IVF, especially after several failed attempts. You both have already taken many steps with dedication. A higher BMI (like 37) can reduce IVF success rates and also increase pregnancy-related risks (miscarriage, gestational diabetes, hypertension). That said, it does not mean pregnancy is impossible—many women with higher BMI have conceived with IVF. You have two options: 1. Go ahead with IVF now – if age is becoming a factor and you don’t want to lose more time. Success is possible, but the chances may be a bit lower, and pregnancy risks higher. 2. Work on weight reduction before IVF – even a 5–10% weight loss (around 6–8 kg) can significantly improve egg quality, uterine receptivity, and IVF outcome. It also makes pregnancy safer for mother and baby. Since she has already been trying to reduce weight, focus on small, consistent lifestyle changes rather than intense workouts. A structured diet plan, walking daily, and possibly medical guidance for weight reduction can help. Practical suggestion: If age is on your side (she is
Health Tips
👉 The decision depends mainly on her age, ovarian reserve (AMH 2.9 is decent), and how urgently you both want to proceed.

Yes hold IVF for time being and reduce the weight and bring it to normal BMI Even if she gets conceived with obesity, there can be many complications like GDM, big baby , hypertension etc So better option according to me is consult and ayurved gynaecologist and do a body cleansing (called sodhana)both of you , then bring her weight to normal BMI and go for IVF if you insists doing it
