Can hypothyroidism patients be skinny?
Hi, at the age of 17 i got typhoid which led to thyroid. Initially they said it is hyperthyroid but i was put on thyroxine medication. But I'm skinny from the beginning. Now My orthopedist says that thyroxine is used to treat hypothyroidism and due to that i got this bone deformities. So my query is can a patient of hypothyroidism be skinny or else only hyperthyroidism patients would be skinny. I had all the symptoms of hypothyroidism like weakness, constipation and all by the way.

People with hypothyroidism can be skinny. Treatment of thyroid disorders will depend on reports and not on symptoms.
