Calcium supplement for women
Hi Dr, I am 33 yrs old and a mother of a toddler. What I want to know is that, is it advisable to start taking calcium tabs at this age? What is the right time to start calcium tabs to maintain bone health or when should women start taking calcium on regular basis ?

You will need calcium tablet before your next baby and after menopause. No need to unnecessarily take such supplements unless recommended by a doctor.

For starting calcium tablets,we need to measure vit D3 levels first and serum calcium if any symptoms of calcium deficiency. Then we can start the calcium tablets.
