Burning sensation side of tongue
I am feeling burning sensation on lateral border of tongue only at righr side from 1-2 month, burning sensation comes and goes for some days... i was a smoker from 7-8 years(but completely quit smoking from 3-4 months) what it could be? it seems like vertical lines or cut... is this hairy leukoplakia ?(is this cancerous) or just irritation due to teeth?(because sometimes i feel 2nd upper molar is rubbing against tongue)

It is normal. Burning sensation might be due to Vitamin B12 defeciency,get it checked. Visit local dentist and get round off your sharp edges for upper molar if it is hurting.

Most probably it is because of any sharp margins of any adjacent tooth. Please visit a local oral medicine specialist for physical evaluation and treatment (as required). Avoid too hot or spicy food items. Maintain oral hygiene.

Doesn't seem to be cancerous but plz get yourself properly examined physically by seeing a doctor. Rubbing of teeth can cause discomfort in tongue but whenever in doubt you must seem proper medical attention from a well qualified and experienced doctor.

Hi, I suggest you meet a dentist and get a clinical examination done. You may require to rounded the sharp cusps on your tooth. Avoid hot or spicy food for a few days.
