Burning in penile urethra
I'm suffering from genital herpes. They are very frequently recurring. If I take acyclovir 400 mg blisters will clear and once I Stop taking them they will reappear again. Now I'm facing additional issue of burning inside the urethra which I difficult to bear. I tried Azithromycin 500 mg and taking acyclovir 400 mg blisters are clearing but burning is not reducing. What is the reason for this? Please advise me. How to releave from this burning? Is there any serious cause?

Hi Burning suggests urinary tract infection. Get urine microscopy and culture done. If recurrences are more than 6 in a year or very severe or very troublesome you can start suppressive antiviral therapy.
