Bulging Skin with Puss

Hello My mother is getting a bulging type of feeling near the leg and joint bone. It feels its puss filled inside and it's getting little dark and black. There is a very slight bearable pain when we press that part. It's persistent since three days. It seems like a muscle clot or blood clot. She had done long hours of walking two months ago. she felt some pain then but no signs of bulgines then. Let me know what could this be. Thanks
