Brownish lump on the skin

Hello Doctor, I am 26 years old. I have a small lump on my thigh. It is reddish brown in colour. I got it after an insect bite(I guess). It was very itchy. It has been a year and it has become a scar. From time to time, it gets itchy and forms a lump on the same spot. After a few days it fades away. After a couple of weeks it gets itchy again and the same routine continues. I'm not sure what to do. Could you please tell me if this is something serious? And how should I treat it? Thank you in advance for your help!
