Brownish discharge during pregnancy
Hello doctor, As of today I am 12 weeks 5 days pregnant.. Last transvaginal scan i had on 16th February and doctor said everything is alright.. Last 3 days I am having little dark brownish spotting.. Is it something alarming? I had similar discharge in last week of January also which got stopped on it's own. What could be the reason for this discharge now again and what should i do please suggest. Thanks in advance!

Spotting can be due to placental formation which may be low lying.. You need to repeat an ultrasound to ensure there s no retroplacental bleed or hematoma.. Ask your doctor to start you on additional pregnancy support

Though  you  had bleeding  in January, your  next scan  in February  was told to be  fine. Now also there looks to be  same. My suggestion  is to  do  another  scan  now  to check  baby well  being  and  also  to do NT,NASAL BONE measures  which are  important  between  11 to 14 wks pregnancy. If you want any clarifications you can connect for online chat with me on Practo Consult.
