Hi,
I've had these brown strips on my nail of my right index finger for many years. Almost 10, I guess. Recently I read something about it and I'm worried. I showed it to my dermatologist who said it could be because of subungual infection and has given me an oinment to apply for 20 days and a tablet. He said if it doesn't go away then I may have to get nail biopsy done. He said since this has been as it is and localized for so many years it may not be dangerous.
Are such strips benign as well or only fatal?
So, should I be worried for my life? Will it shorten my life?
Thanks
