Hi my mother is 50 yrs old. Her weight is 93.5 kg. She is having trouble walking due to excessive breathlessness, swelling & having pain in spine, waist and arms from past few weeks.
She is taking medication for hypothyroidism (thyroxine sodium 100mg)
Recently we consulted some young (jr) doctors in AIIMS, Gorakhpur (UP).
During general check up they found her blood pressure was: 170/114, after few mins (168/110) (earlier for past 2-3 years she had instances of hypotension & hypertension)
They asked for some tests: CBC+PS,
HbA1C Test, Routine Urine, ECG, ECHO, RFT, Biochemistry
lipid profile, Immunoassay (Free TFT).
They found the test reports to be normal and said it's all happening because of
thyroid, also prescribed with some medication for a period of 1 month and asked to come with a blood
sugar test next time.
Please guide me should I continue with the medication?
