As a eNT surgeon I can guide you through this kindly share the picture of X-ray so that I can grade the septal deviation, all of us has deviation to some extent but surely higher amount of deviation can cause breathing difficulty either alone or with compensatory hypertrophy of turbinates. Can wait be managed with medication to some extent only higher deviation need surgical correction
