Can I hold and breastfeed my 40 day old newborn when I have fever and cough? My newborn already has cough, she has been on antibiotics in past 3 days.

1.Just wear a mask while feeding. 2.Wash your hands before feeding the baby. Continue breastfeeding 3. Follow cough hygiene.

Yes breast feeding should not be stopped if mother has cold/ cough/ fever . You can continue to breast feed with proper personal / hand hygeine . Wear a face mask to prevent cross infection
