Breast feeding mothers should take more of calcium and protien sources like milk and milk products, egg whites etc.
Minerals like :
Vitamin D for calicum absorption ( natural source : sunlight)
Iron rich foods ( sources : green veggies , til , besan , channa etc)
Vitamin c for iron absorption ( sources : citrus foods - lemon , oranges ).
The more good the mother consumes the more is beneficial for baby as the baby is only dependent on breast feeding.
Water intake should be 6-8 glasses per day.
Also other fluids such as soups, buttermilk , juices ( Avoid jucies if diabetic) etc.
Tea and coffee intake should be limited upto 2 cups per day.
Avoid ghee , butter as these fats take more time to digest and at this point physical activity is less.
