BP medicine. Not very well controlled.

Hi Dr I am 40 years old and on BP medicine from last 4 year ( telma 40 and atten 25 both once a day which well tolerated with good control ) off late since last 15-20 days my BP used to be high ( 130-138/ 90-95 ) with symptoms like back pain , heaviness and palpitations The current dr suggest on investigation discontinued old medicine & suggested  telma NB once a day . After taking 6-7 days my bp was controlled but lots of side effects happened like weekness, chest pain ( mild ) , tingling of hand and leg itching with red spot ( severe ) I have discontinued the new medicine ( after 7 days ) and back to old one ( telma 40+ atten 25) .most of symptoms subsidized . Please suggest what to do as my BP is still not very well controlled.
