Hello sir/mdm Our baby boy is now 2 and half month. He has mouth thrust.. please suggest what should we do also why this is happening because it's the third time in a month.

Oral thrush is commonly seen in bottle fed babies, if the bottle is not adequately sterilized. Infection may arise if mother has fungal infection of nipple or areola. If baby is gaining weight, achieving milestones such as social smile and partial neck holding nothing to worry.

Whitish patch over tongue and oral mucosa is oral thrush. It is fungal infection . It may b because of low immunity of baby or breast fed  baby may catch it from infected nipples of mother. Treatment is- Candid mouth paint - Local application 4 time per day for 5 days.

1. Clean the tongue well with a clean soft cloth wet with clean lukewarm drinking water. 2. Apply CANDID MOUTH PAINT...ON THE TONGUE ...5 DROPS 5 TIMES A DAY FOR 5 DAYS 3. IMPROVE FEED POINT HYGIENE...APPLY AT NIPPLES TOO. 4. AVOID BOTTLE FEEDS...USE STRICTLY CLEAN STERILISED IF YOU MUST
