Bow legs - 15 Months Old baby
My daughter is 15 months Old. She is suffering with Bow legs. Children's Doctor saying she is suffering with rickets & suggested to Give Sun exposure in Morning for 1 hr without cloth, moreover medicine Given are Gemcal P. - calcium, One syrup for Iron and one syrup for D3 along with this suggested to Give Seven seas daily. Almost 20 days has been over, Progress is extremely slow. kindly advice should I seek for Second opinion form any Orthopedic Dr. How much time it take to recover full?

see for rickets, get a vit D / PTH / ALP levels and x ray both wrists as ricketic changes are best seen on wrist xray and contact a pediatrician

Some amount of bowing is natural in babies under 2 years of age. To actually diagnose rickets U need to have done an X-ray atleast if not the blood test. It would be a mistake to expect immediate improvement. It could take atleast a few weeks to a few months. You need to wait atleast 6 weeks to see some results
