I am guessing based on your complaint that you have bitemporal recession of the scalp. To rule out if Androgenetic Alopecia (male pattern baldness) has set in you need to visit a dermatologist. Also, I understand your concern about regrowth of your hair... In my experience bitemporal recession can be a part of the normal hair line of a male. So regrowing hair in the area can turn out to be a difficult task. But yes, you need to know that this can at any progress into Male pattern baldness.
