All massage guns have a fixed pressure with which it massages. The massage gun cannot be a permanent solution of the pain. It might lead to other issues as the tissue at Fault isn’t known. All tissues doesn’t require the same amount and intensity of massage to relieve pain.

Some spots are resting trigger points. So if activated they start producing pain.
So probably stay on a gentler setting till you have used it a few times
