Blood urea 8.90mg/dL
My blood urea level is 8.90mg/dL. Is this normal? All other KFT and LFT are normal. I feel like my legs are little fluidy. Attached picture. I have white lines on legs also. I am over weight. CBP blood work is normal. Thyroid levels are also normal. Doppler ultrasound of one leg says mildly prominent great saphenous vein with incompetent Perforator. Please advise what this is. I used to have high uric acid levels. Few months ago there was severe pain and swelling in my legs due to this and x ray was normal that time. Please advise

Your blood urea level of 8.90 mg/dL is normal, indicating healthy kidney function. The Doppler ultrasound suggests mild venous insufficiency, which may cause fluid retention and swelling in your legs, compounded by being overweight. Previous high uric acid levels could relate to past episodes of pain and swelling but are unlikely to cause chronic edema. Consider consulting for further evaluation and discussing lifestyle changes, such as weight management and wearing compression stockings, to improve circulation. It's essential to monitor your symptoms and consult a healthcare provider for tailored treatment.
