Do we need to fast before taking blood test for pregnancy check ?
A frd of mine got a checkup done after eating breakfast. I asked her to fast atleast 12hrs.
But before test she ate full stomach breakfast and drank coffee n tea too around 11am and got test around 1230.
I feel it's wrong . The test was done without prescription.

An empty stomach is not needed for a blood test to detect pregnancy . Hopefully it's beta hcg u talking about .
However u haven't mentioned what was the test asked for.
