Hi Doctors,
My 45 days old son is taking vitamin D3 and Tonoferon 0.4ml daily. (Tonoferon was started 1 week back because Hb was 10.2).
He is clinically doing well. Feeding and passing urine and stool. He is exclusively on breast feeding. My nipples do not have cut or anything.
Today his stool had some blood patches. Is this normal? Do we need to do some tests for him?

Needs stool routine and coagulation profile.
Most likely its late onset HDN (vitamin k deficiency seen in exclusively breastfed babies). So better to give a dose of vitamin k asap.
