Blood in my kid's stool
Hi My son is just 10 months old. He used to pass hard stool because of dexolac milk powder as said by many pediatrics. Now his stool is having blood and he is crying after passing stool. Kindly suggest what could be the problem and solution for this

Reduce the quantity of milk to 2-3 times a day. Increase fibre in meals. Add fruits and vegetables, cereals like ragi, jowar. This is a diet related issue. Passage of blood can be due to extremely hard stool. If there is repeated passage of blood consider consulting a pediatric surgeon to rule out possibility of fissure. Avoid packed items, junk food in all forms. Keep the child on soft diet
