Blood clot under nail plate

Asked for Male, 29 Years

Hello Doctor, I see blood clot under the nail in the middle left leg finger ..I see a straight line with some brown mark over there and it’s growing month by month and it’s reached to finger skin place. I am seeing that mark from last 4 years and I am not sure how that happened at the first place too.. Could you please suggest a house remedy or any any other assistance to this problem. Let me know if I consult dermatologist to get rid of this.

The black brown line vertical on the nail from the root till that it could be a birthmark and for that there is nothing to worry about. In older patients this similar problem should also be an indicator of an underlying cancer but with your age that seems unlikely. However to say with certainty it will be recommended to meet with the dermatologist and get it properly examined. Hope this was helpful.
