Blister around tounge
Hello doctor, I am 39 years old. For the last two days I have been feeling burning and pain all around my tongue. It seems there are blisters and it tastes very spicy. When I eat something, I cannot taste anything else. I can only taste a little sweet. What should I do? Which medicine should I take? Please advise.

Your symptoms—burning tongue, pain, small blisters, altered taste (spicy sensation, reduced taste except sweet)—are most commonly due to: • Aphthous Ulcers (minor oral ulcers) • Glossitis (inflammation of tongue) • Sometimes linked to **Vitamin B12 Deficiency or acidity/spicy food irritation Since it is only 2 days duration, this is likely acute and reversible, not something serious.
Next Steps
• Apply oral gel like Choline Salicylate (e.g., Dologel/Orasore) 2–3 times daily • Take a B-complex supplement containing Methylcobalamin once daily • Use warm saline gargles 2–3 times daily • Avoid spicy, hot, acidic foods for a few days
Health Tips
• Maintain good oral hygiene but avoid harsh brushing on tongue • Drink plenty of water • Avoid tobacco, alcohol, and very spicy foods temporarily • Include soft, bland diet (curd, khichdi, fruits) • Most cases improve within 5–7 days ⚠️ See a doctor if: • Symptoms persist >10–14 days • Recurrent episodes • Associated weight loss or severe pain ⸻
