Bleeding from finger

Hi, I had a lump formation on my finger and the lump was filled with blood but yesterday the blood started to flow out and since then its not stopping. I had put a cotton on it to stop the bleeding. Firstly i need to know how to stop the bleeding. And once it is stopped... How to heal that lump formation.
