Pigmentation of gum on your upper teeth is quite normal. It happens due to melanin deposition, which is a normal condition. scaling can only clean  your teeth. If you feel that your gums are visible while smiling you can go for depigmentation of gums via laser.
Next Steps
You can go for laser gingival depigmentation or gingival stripping, on your visit to your nearby dental clinic.

Its ur normal gum... Still if u r bothered u can go for depigmentation... Just as if someone dont like his/her dark skin tone... Scaling will not affect ur gum shade but it will remove calculus deposited around ur tooth
