Black glaucoma. Latanoprost eye drops.

As you are saying your mother has glaucoma do you have any idea regarding her intra ocular pressure  ( at the time of diagnosis & at present ) , regarding her angular structure i.e her gonioscopy finding, regarding her optic nerve finding i.e cup disc ratio.       Had any other tests been done or not ? like HVF or OCT for ONH & RNFL analysis or GDX?       What's about her vital parameters like Blood pressure, blood sugar , lipid profile ?       Glaucoma is a optic neuropathy which causes gradual / acute  loss of vision . Intra ocular pressure is an important deciding factor for glaucoma. Diurnal fluctuations in intra ocular pressure is more important than a single value.      Most important factor that's to be done is intra ocular pressure is to be kept within normal range.      As a rule of thumb, the more advanced the glaucoma is, the lower the IOP must be to protect whatever nerve tissue the patient has left. The best time to diagnose and treat glaucoma is therefore before the patient has lost any retinal ganglion cells or visual field.

HVF B/ E( 30-2)  , OCT for ONH & RNFL analysis,  Intra ocular pressure reading at least in three times in a day ( in morning, at noon , in evening) Measure blood pressure, Blood sugar & lipid profile
