Big rat bite
Yesterday night in my house there was a big rat that bite me do I need rabies vaccine I have taken 4 dose of arv 5 months and have also taken the 2 booster last month do i need vaccine for this incident

Although rabies is transmitted by any mammal , but practically rabies is never transmitted by rat bite.....even if u havenot taken any vaccination before , u can safely omit it after rat bite also

As you have taken ARV booster within last three month , you don't need another shot of ARV.
However you should take tetanus toxoid injection if not taken within last 5 years or don't know when have you taken it in past.

Domestic rodent bites typically don’t need ARV unless they are from forest areas.
Anyways you have already taken 2 boosters in last month.
So you don’t need ARV even if it was a dog bite as exposure is within 3 months of booster.
