Big blood clots and period extending

My mother is having big blood clots during period and period are extending over 10 days. it has resulted in extreme weakness. We got her tested last week and it showed presence of fibroids.The doc advised to use Trenaxa twice a day.However , not much relief.Can anyone guide?
