Benzac2.5/adapalene not working for Acne
I have consulted many dermats and been on oral and topical medication- minoz oz, azythromycin for almost 3-4 months. Used benzac ac (AM) plus sunscreen and derivacms (PM) with ahaglow facewash from aug 2024. Tired of antibiotics or oral medicine but need an advise please as the acne is recurring in the same spot again. As deriva cs does not seem to work from past 6 months Should i start using tretinoin 0.025 as spot treatment? If no then what are other alternatives? Been taking probiotics from past 1 month. Please advise thank you

Treatment depends on the grade..Acne or  pimples... Due to hormonal changes..Oily skin causes it...Common in adolescent age...May occur in adults also.. Food like Oily foods, ice cream, chocolate and sweets increase it.. Treatment depends on the grade of pimples or acne..So, please  send photos by direct online consultation as it's a must to see which grade of pimples or acne for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

i feel rather then treating only face, we should work on finding the cause of it and treatinh cause itself. are your periods regular? any history of pcod. a detailed history would be beneficial to rule out the possible causes.

Tretinoin is not actually for spot treatment but yes it can be tried over the acne prone areas You will need stronger and better medicines if it’s still recurring A photo would be helpful to assess the grade of acne
