Benign tumor of the parotid gland such as pleomorphic adenoma has a excellent prognosis after surgery. Usually in good hands superficial Parotidectomy offers complete cure. Chances of permanent facial nerve injury are very less in good hands but temporary palsy is a possibility because of nerve handling during surgery
