Hi there,
It is always important to know the detailed medical and psychiatric history of every case .In addition, there is a need for detailed mental status examination of the case to make a diagnosis and management of the case accordingly.
There are certain issues related to the LGBTQ community.Every deviation from the “ normal behaviour “ as per the “ norm” expected by the Society is termed as “ abnormal “ but as per the definition as per the interviews with the persons, they are related to the the sexual orientation of the patient. But they need treatment if they have Egodystonic in nature and a person gets gets psychological problems and a person thinks that he or she needs the help from a mental health professional .
And one thing to remember, it is a complex issue. There remains issues between the law and the society.
Do take the help from a mental health professional for further advice.
It is normal. This can’t be treated. No disorder in anyone who is straight or belong from LGBTQ.
No psychological issue in it.Just society has stigma which is reducing with time.
