In my opinion bad breath could be caused due to inadequate hygiene maintenance.IBS could also be a factor which would increase the foul odour.Acculmulation of plaque and calculus deposits a the usual causes though of bad breath.
Next Steps
You sholud visit a dentist nearby and get a thorough cleaning and polishing done. Mean whipe you could also start with a mouthwash like Hexidene-EP for prolonged use to reduce bad breath.
Health Tips
Always keep it a habit to rinse your mouth with water once your done with eating. It generally helps reduce of food accumulation and help solve our problem.
Take antacid as per necessity. Acidity causes bad breath. Food intake in 2-3 HR interval.
Sip water every half an hour to avoid dryness of mouth.
Sugar free gums/citrus frults for stimulating saliva. To enhance self cleansing Mechanism.
Prolonged use of any medications can cause bad breath.
To maintain oral hygiene,
1.Make sure you follow correct brushing technique which includes proper brushing of all surfaces of teeth.
Wipe off all surfaces of teeth with soft clean cotton cloth with moderate pressure which will further smoothen the teeth surfaces, that will lead to least accumulation of microorganisms on tooth surface.
Forceful repeated gargling followed by consumption of any food/beverages.
2. Use dental floss for removing interdental food lodgement which doesn't come out sometimes even after brushing.
3.luke warm water gargle 2-3 times/day.
4.tongue cleaning thoroughly with plastic tongue scraper
5.mouthwash: Bernadine gargle.
2-2.5 ml direct in mouth.
Once in every two days. After food. Do not eat, drink anything or rinse for half an hour after spitting out the mouthwash.
Some guidance in brushing technique and twice a day brushing is advisable. Bad breath is a result of poor oral hygiene and irregular digestive system. Need to rule out both possibilities. Take guidance of nearby dentist to begin with.
