Persistent back pain can be associated with lower back muscle spasm.. Is there any radiating pain towards lower limbs..
Sometimes there is a possibility of weakness around lower back muscles or nerve compression in spinal cord.. Further evaluation is needed for confirmation..
Next Steps
You can take complete bed rest for now, take analgesic with muscle relaxant tablet, apply local analgesic ointment. You may get one x ray of Lumbar spine to get some more idea of the condition.
