Baby speech and development
My baby boy is 18 months old (corrected age 17 Months). He can walk, run , do gestures like clapping, waving, pointing, showing things to us , and understanding almost every command. He knows and shows few body parts like head, nose, hair and eyes. He waves but does not say bye while waving. Otherwise he says tata, dada, mamma, juju, babbles a lot. Sometimes imitate words.hr knows tiger, lion, make lion sound if ask him to do so. Can node head and say na. Is this speech delay? His ped is not worried with autism/adhd.

This achievement looks normal. Hopefully he says mama, papa, dada specifically to mother/ father/ other Encourage when he tries to speak or babbles - try to show him how much to form words - from the lip/ tongue / through the mouth. I often find our Hindi varna mala very useful to find words coming from different areas of mouth. It’s scientifically grouped together. Write down words and keep matching them with picture books and objects No screen time till 2 years, only family time! Celebrate your success!
