Hello Doctor,
My elder daughter is 3 years old. I have another 4 month old boy too. My daughter is showing aggressive behavior like hitting him, pulling his legs and hands at least 2/3 times a day. As parents, we are afraid to leave them alone even for a minute. During pregnacy times itself, we dis keep telling her that a baby boy or sister will be coming and playing with her. Atilla, we face the problem. We have tried showing more love and affection toward my daughter to make her comfortable. Still, we ajabe run out of options. So, any advice is appreciated.

Hi
Talk to your daughter and spend time with her. Maybe she still has to get used to having a sibling. Consult a psychologist and explain about your daughters behaviour. Your daughter is very young and with time she may become more gentle with her brother.
Next Steps
Consult a psychologist

Hi... Just one suggestion. Instil parenting instinct in your daughter by giving her roles to take care of the baby. You can start with simple roles like making his bed or bringing something for him, etc. and then move to roles requiring her proximity to the baby, like watching her or taking care of her in your presence. When you see her taking interest in these tasks and doing them with good intentions, you can start leaving the baby more with her, with or without your immediate presence. Never forget to reinforce her right behaviours with your warmth and attention.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist.
