Black stools are due to iron syrup and so is the constipation. Nothing to worry. Increase the fibre content of food, increase hydration

The baby's symptoms, particularly the hard stools and crying during bowel movements, indicate constipation, which can be concerning due to the discomfort it causes. The black color of the stool is a common and expected side effect of iron supplementation.
