Doctor prescribed Orofex XT drops for my baby . After 2 days he had black stool and a bit of red discharge. He his going motion every half an hour. Also I have him carrot puree. I'm worried please help

Hi , orofer xt is an iron supplements which normally turns stool in blackcolor which is harmless . It may also cause constipation or diarrhoea in kids . Confirm about the Dosages prescribed by doctor and actually how much you are giving by checking the medicine bottle and prescription.If you are concern about red discharge then you can make sure by doing stool routine and microscopy test .thanx and take care
