It’s understandable to be concerned when your baby has a fever and is not eating solids. A temperature of 99.6°F is considered a low-grade fever, which can be common in young children, especially when they are experiencing mild illnesses. In your case, it's important to ensure that your baby stays hydrated. You can offer clear fluids such as water, oral rehydration solutions, or diluted juice to help maintain hydration. If your baby is not interested in solids, that's okay for the time being; the priority should be on keeping them well-hydrated. You can administer oral paracetamol syrup if your baby appears uncomfortable due to fever. However, ensure to follow the correct dosage based on her weight and consult the product instructions or your pediatrician. If your baby's condition does not improve in a day or two, or if you notice other symptoms such as persistent fever, irritability, or refusal to drink fluids, please seek medical advice promptly. For a more thorough evaluation and treatment plan, feel free to consult me or WhatsApp me at eight hundred nine eight two one three three two.

Hello. Even at this temp, young ones feel restless and get irritated and try to avoid food. They feel thirsty and consume liquids more. As soon as the temp comes down, they will start taking food.
