If the Paediatrician diagnosed as colic and no other reason. Just relax. If the baby is crying mostly evening more than 3 hours for 3 days of a week it can be colic. If the baby is normal after the episode and sleeps well there is no physical reason except colic. It may be relieved by gentle massage of the stomach. Probiotics may help. Pre Pro kid half sachet with a small quantity of water twice daily for 5 days may help restore gut flora. Most important thing is to continue breast feeding.

Yes it can be colic at 6 weeks of age and nasal block should be ruled out..Colicaid drops may help to some extent but tummy time to be allowed for baby...regular gentle tummy massage may help..

infantile colic really does peak right around 6 weeks, and yes, drops often need a few more days to show effect. So 2 days in is too early to call it a failure. The warning signs(fever, vomiting, refusal to feed, abdominal distension, lethargy, inconsolable crying) are the ones to watch for. Feeding technique matters a lot. Burping After all these if it's not improving consult the paediatrician

Greetings. 6-week-old infant has been crying inconsolably despite feeding, which a local doctor suggested seems consistent with infantile colic. Colic symptoms typically peak around 6 weeks of age, so this intense fussiness is a common developmental phase that usually resolves naturally by 3 to 4 months. Antiflatulent colic drops, which commonly contain simethicone, dill oil, and fennel oil, focus on breaking down trapped intestinal gas but do not cure the underlying, normal neurological immaturity. Because these drops address gas rather than the root developmental process, it is very normal not to see an immediate or complete cessation of crying within just 2 days

At 6 weeks, infantile colic is a common cause of excessive crying and usually peaks at this age. Colic medicines may not show immediate improvement and often require a few days. Please ensure adequate feeding, burping after every feed, and monitor urine output and weight gain. If there is fever, vomiting, refusal to feed, abdominal distension, lethargy, or inconsolable crying, get the baby examined by a pediatrician promptly.

At this age it's only Gas(colic) and hunger which will cause excessive Cry otherwise in healthy infant who is feeding well, passing adequate urine output. No need of daily colicaid .Keep doing massage for gas release.Tummy time also helpful..If you don't have idea of these then visit good Pediatrician or consult here with good pediatrician for good guidance

Is your child gaining weight properly? Is he passing urine 4-6 times daily? Then don’t worry. Babies can cry during stools or urine. Babies can cry when they feel warm or cold. Many reasons. Need to consult.
