Please continue KMC. Give her breast feeding 2 hrly. Cover the baby and head cap . Supplement with vitamin d3 and iron drop . Irregular respiratory movements are common in premature baby . It is called chyne Stoke respiration. If stops for more than 20 seconds consult for apnoea and give him some stimulus. If apnoea then put him on capnoea drops.

Hi, first of all relax and enjoy the joy of becoming a parent, your baby is discharged after 40 days right, Apnics spells (stopping of breathing) is rare at this time, so don’t worry, and about the hard stools, check the proportion of water you mix in the formula take 30 ml of boiled water and then add the scoop of Simlac Neosure , not the other way round, u can use colostrum (COLOFERIN) for weight gain
Preterm babies post discharge monitoring is important for next few days. Stopping breathing for 10 sec ocassionally is normal in newborn children. If its going for long time or if baby colour is changing you need to stimulate the baby to prevent apnea. You should keep in touch with your Neonatologist or NICU staff for emergency.
