Baby 28days old doesn't sleep at night
Hello , My 28days old daughter doesnt sleep at night peacefully as during the day time. I feed her when she is hungry, burps and then poops a little by the time I put her to sleep with all the difficulty. When I clean her poop, she gets up and becomes so active again. This cycle continues for about 3-4hrs every night..by that time it will be around 5.AM She will be very sleepy but expects me to feed her while laying on bed , she wants to latch on and sleep, if I try to avoid it , she doesnt let herself to sleep.. disturbs herself a d becomes active. I am frustrated with this from day 2 of her birth. Mine is Cesarean, and it has become very difficult to deal with this every single day. 24hrs i am supposed to manage her and night with no enough sleep it has become nightmare for me somedays when she cries uncontrollably . Please suggest me something that can make her continue her sleep peacefully. Thanks.

Hi. This is normal behaviour of the baby . They sleep in the day and are awake in the night.
Next Steps
This will change in couple of months, so you try to sleep when baby is sleeping.

I think it's common for the babies to take time and to get adjusted to this environment , few may take upto 3 months.. There is no problem with baby s health, can get support from other family members. Please be patient and be confident and strong. Otherwise excess stress will have bad impact on ur health and breast milk production too

Its common thing that some babies will be active at night for the first few months. Circadian rhythm develops after 3 months to be awake at morning and sleep at night like adults. So you have to manage this for the next few months. Prepare mentally. I feel that you dont have any family support to manage the baby. First get your closed ones to your home who can take care of the baby when you take rest. Husband or mother or sister whoever can help you, their support is compulsary as its difficiukt to manage single handedly. Dont get frustated it may affect your milk output and unnecessary stress effects the baby and family.
Next Steps
Get help from family or friends
